Get ready for London Craft Week! Join Exceptional Art & Design as we delve into the vibrant world of craftsmanship in London. We are offering a two-day programme, a Wednesday tour in Shoreditch and a Thursday tour in Chelsea & South Kensington.
Wednesday 15th May
Shoreditch / Ruup & Form gallery & Shoreditch Hall

On the morning of Wednesday 15th May join us in Shoreditch. Our first stop is Ruup & Form, where we have been invited by gallery founder Varuna to a private introduction to five exceptionally talented porcelain artists: Katie Spragg, Ana Bridgewater, Erum Amir, Anne Butler and Isobel Egan. Then, we’ll head to Shoreditch Hall for another celebration of the very best arts, craft and design, where Jay Blades, Timorous Beasties, Soane Britain and Cox London have curated an exhibition with works by nearly a hundred makers.
Thursday 16th May
Chelsea & South Kensington/ Pimlico Road & Cromwell Place
10.30 am – 13.00 pm
Meet: Nina Campbell, 43 Pimlico Rd, London SW1W 8NE
Join us on the morning of Thursday 16th May, as we explore the design hub of Pimlico. We are very lucky to be welcomed by curator Helen Chislett who connects superb artisanship with those seeking extraordinary pieces. We’re also stopping to witness the expert weaving of a fishbone chair, marvel at hand embroidery, and the craft of scagliola. Then we will continue to the Chelsea Barracks to see Chihuly’s world renowned glass sculptures. Later at Cromwell Place, we will visit Homo Faber’s celebrated artisans, showcasing the collaborative work of twenty masters. This promises to be a full and an unforgettable session!
Venice Art Biennale
Where: Venice

- Two half day visits to the 60th Venice art biennale: explore the international exhibition, its national pavilions and artists from all over the world in the beautiful settings of the Giardini and Arsenale
- Visit collateral events to the biennale across Venice

Join us in Venice, to experience the 60th edition of the world’s longest running and most important art biennial. This truly international exhibition takes the pulse of the times we live in.
The programme starts on the Wednesday evening. Over two half-days, we visit both the National Pavilions and the curated exhibitions at the Arsenale and Giardini, as well as collateral events.
Besides, we will visit Venetian craft and tradition, visiting several workshop from glass to gold.
On Saturday morning, you can bring a guest along with you to join our activities until lunchtime. you will also be able to reenter the biennale site in the afternoon.
Besides the art visits, we will savour the exquisite food and coffee culture of Venice, as well as wander through the streets and canals. For those who wish it, bring a swimming suit to try out one of the best beaches of the Lido on Friday, before enjoying the sunset.
Art Walk in Fitzrovia

This month, Exceptional Art & Design will bring you to the contemporary art scene of Fitzrovia.
Art curator Jolanda Chandler reveals the stories behind the creative scene of London, and Fitzrovia is one of her finest art trails. With the expertise gathered through her extensive work as an art guide, curator and advisor in London, she uncovers the best exhibitions to see.
The trail brings clients to both a beautiful and exciting part of Fitzrovia. Moving between traditional Georgian spaces and contemporary exhibitions, you will experience a very special, authentic side of the capital, off the beaten track.
After the tour, everyone is invited to chat and discuss the art trail over lunch! (Further details in booking).
